National Park Escapes

When everyone else is heading to the coast, grab your hiking boots and head to a National Park.  The United States offers some of the most beautiful parks in the world so take advantage of them when the weather is warm and dry.  Head to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, Acadia in Maine, Mount Rainier in Washington, Yosemite in California, or Yellowstone in Montana! Elvis Week - Memphis, TN

Each August, devoted fans make their way to Memphis to remember and commemorate the life of Elvis Presley for a whole week (August 8-17).  Check out Graceland for an event schedule and all the details for a perfectly Elvis week!

San Juan Islands, Washington

Now this is my type of domestic vacation...I have a weak spot in my heart for the Pacific Northwest.  The sparkling blue waters and deep green forest just lure me with every breath I take when I view pictures or read about the region.  This August take your family north and explore the San Juan Islands...not only will they have fun but it is educational too.
