Mornings Are The Best...When Traveling

I HAVE FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE WHO AGREES THAT MORNINGS ARE THE BEST WHEN TRAVELING! HER NAME IS CAROLINA MAKEPEACE AKA CAZ FROM THE AMAZING, AMAZING Y TRAVEL BLOG!

Her and her family (hubby and two girls) travel the world for a living and share some of the most amazing travel tips and hacks out of anyone in the travel field. If you haven't checked out their blog do so today, but be prepared for the wanderlust bug to strike hard as their belief is "stop postponing your travel dreams".

About a year ago I signed up for their weekly newsletter because I truly had grown to love and appreciate their advice and insights. It seems I share more common interest with them than my husband sometimes!!! Shhh, don't tell :)

Yesterday, I received my weekly email entitled "Travel bring blissful mornings don't you think?" and it immediately struck my interest. I thought, "Could it be? Does someone else believe that mornings are the best when traveling too?!!?"

Before I started traveling mornings were for sleeping in for as long as possible. There was no purpose in the early morning light for me. Travel changes you and expands your knowingness in so many ways. It unravelled for me the gentle beauty and adventure that lies at the breaking of the new day. I’d rise eager to catch the sunrise over mountain tops or beach horizons, or set off on long hikes through the wilderness. I’d walk the city streets listening to the calls to prayer and watching the vendors slowly began to set up on streets that only had a few amblers and passing cars – the calm before the traffic storm. It felt like the morning was all mine and I was being led down this secret passageway of miracles, that most people were missing as they lay in bed content to sleep and sleep. I don’t feel I’ve lived unless I grab that morning energy all for myself each morning. The slow unravelling, appreciating the magic, and setting myself right for the day ahead. This morning, I walked barefoot across the dewy grass, sat down on the sand to meditate, felt the warmth of the rising sun on my face, and then dived into the ocean for a swim. Cleansed, refreshed, renewed. Today, I’ve lived well and it’s only 8:15am What about you? Has travel taught you to embrace the blissful morning dew as well? Caz

When To Go Where Travel Guide

WHEN TO GO WHERE IS SOMETHING A GOOD TRAVELER SHOULD KNOW. FOR INSTANCE, SHOULD YOU BOOK A CARIBBEAN CRUISE  IN SEPTEMBER OR MAKE THE LONG JOURNEY TO AUSTRALIA IN JULY?

The answer to both of these examples is a no. When to go where in the Caribbean is strongly controlled by the Atlantic hurricane season. Here in the Western Hemisphere the hurricane season is officially from 1 June to 30 November. There is nothing magical in these dates, and hurricanes have occurred outside of these six months, but these dates were selected to encompass over 97% of tropical activity.

As for taking the adventure of a lifetime to Australia you should understand that since the country is in the southern hemisphere their seasons are opposite of ours. So if you want to visit Oz during their summer you need to go during our winter months.

LETS BREAK DOWN THE WHEN TO GO WHERE TRAVEL GUIDE INTO MONTHS - I FIND THAT IS EASIER TO DECIDE ON WHEN FIRST AND THEN A WHERE.

• January - Northern Africa. The Christmas travel crowds are gone and the weather is warm.
• March - Brazil (post-Carnival), Hawaii, or India, between local holidays.
• April - Western Europe. Rome, Barcelona, Paris, and London will still be cool and you’ll have your chance of rain, for sure, but the crowds are thin and prices go way down. Holland is full of flowers. Also, Australia. April is early autumn in Australia and temperatures are dropping. You’ll also get there before the crowds rise.
• May - Japan. Hit Japan after the Cherry Blossom festivals are over for a break in prices.
• June - Baja. Prices and temperatures are mild, between the Spring Break rush and the summer heat.
• July - Northern Caribbean. (But avoid hurricane areas.)
• September - South Africa. It’s fall in the U.S. but early spring in South Africa. Prices are low on game drives and animals are easier to spot since many trees still don’t have their leaves.
• October - Southern Europe. The weather has turned chilly up north, but around the Mediterranean, you’ll usually still find warm temperatures... with thinner crowds and good travel deals.
• November - Caribbean and South Pacific. Christmas is high season in these warm destinations. Try to get your beach time in before the rush.
• December - Costa Rica. The Rainy Season is subsiding, but the tourists haven’t flocked in, yet.
