Nothing is sweeter than a deployment homecoming. The smiles, tears, laughter, and crazy emotions the families project when they see each other for the first time in months is priceless. Love is a beautiful thing - it is what keeps us hanging on through the months and makes us stronger, better people.
Here is what one Military wife said about her first homecoming experience, "Waiting months, and months to see him you get so nervous, but you try to hold it all in. You finally see him and you break down out of happiness. That first hug, first kiss melts your heart and means the world to you."
One of the most exciting parts of a homecoming is the planning and anticipation of their return. Scouring Pinterest, spending countless hours on the floor creating welcome home signs, picking out the perfect outfit, planning a meal with all his favorites, getting the house spotless, and so much more. With all the work put into it there is no way you are not going to have the big moment documented, right?!?!
That is what a friend of mine from high school did - she hired a professional photographer to join her while she greeted her husband for the first time after their first deployment.
Natalie Broach Photography did a fantastic job in capturing the sacred emotions of this beautiful couple!
I love, love, love her DIY homecoming sign!!! Find more inspiring ideas here! Also, check out her photographer's Facebook page to see more of her work including wedding, baby, and family photography!
