WITH LABOR DAY RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER I HAVE A BITTER SWEET FEELING INSIDE ME, BUT I AM EXCITED FOR ALL THE FUN ACTIVITIES THE COOLER WEATHER BRINGS!
NOT ONLY DO THE COLOR OF THE LEAVES CHANGE, BUT ALL THE OFF DUTY TRAVEL ACTIVITIES YOU CAN HAVE CHANGE TOO.
HERE COME THE PERFECT DAYS OF HIKING FOLLOWED BY CRISP MOUNTAIN AIR THAT CREATES THE PERFECT SETTING FOR A FAMILY CAMPING TRIP....OMG MY HEART IS LEAPING AT THE THOUGHT OF IT!
I want to share with you all the travel ideas my family does when we have free time...
OFF DUTY TRAVEL IDEAS
Camp, glamp, RV, or however else you like to spend your time in nature is perfect. Personally, I like glamping but it always seems that we end up camping it men style....oh well! Anyways, pack your sleeping bags and head off to a mountain, beach, or national park for some amazing quality time with your friends and family!

Beach...oh the beach in October is simply heavenly! Not only do you get off season prices, less tourists, the beach all to yourself, but the weather is out of this world amazing. Mid to low 80's is what you will find in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and with the ever present wind you will be able to spend the whole day on the beach. Then at night, since most the tourist are gone, the sky lights up with stars. Enjoy sitting on the roof with a beverage, blanket, some light music and take in the beauty of the coastal sky.
- Deserted beach, gorgeous weather, great fishing, off season prices.....what else do you need?
Festivals are abundant in the fall, so whatever you are end too do a little research and take a weekend trip. Many breweries and wineries are in harvest right now, which means they are hosting parties and festivals to help celebrate their crops!
I KNOW IT IS HARD TO BREAK AWAY FROM THE DAILY GRIND FOR WEEKEND JAUNTS BETWEEN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES, SPORTING EVENTS, ETC BUT TREAT YOUR KIDS...AND YOURSELF...TO AN AMAZING FALL SEASON FILLED WITH TRAVEL AND ADVENTURE!
