What Kind Of Traveler Are You?

There are several different types of travelers.

I have always been aware of who is who while traveling, but I found myself struggling to identify the different types sitting in front of a computer.  

Why is it that as soon as you are back in your daily environment what you learned and the person you became while gone slowly slips away???

The question only came to mind because I wanted to identify with everyone who reads my blog and also the people who would use United Military Travel.

When you travel do you seek out opportunities to embrace, discover and immerse yourself in the local culture?  Do you find yourself wanting to be apart of the community not just tour it by talking with the locals, attending festivities and wandering from the tourist path to really feel the vibe of the community?

Simply you search for simplicity and relaxation by simply doing.  Spending times with friends and family, not planning anything-just going when you feel like going.

You travel to gain more understanding of your ancestry and heritage.  Traveling in style and comfort by staying in familiar hotels is when you are most comfortable because you know you will be safe.  Tourist paths and a detailed schedule make you happy as does being a part of a group.

Getting "away from it all" is why you travel.  You do not like schedules or being in large groups and staying off the beaten path is what you prefer.  Short vacations appeal to you as you will have more chances to rejuvenate and relax.  And you seek out destinations that will be easy, not extra work.

Finding Yourself Traveler?

Do you travel on a journey of self-discovery and prefer longer trips so you can immerse yourself in each location.  You prefer hostels because it enables you to meet like minded people who you can share your adventure with and possibly lead to your "self discovery".  Is every trip an opportunity to learn more about yourself not just the extended ones? 

Virtual Traveler?

Does traveling the world via Pinterest and travel website appeal to you more than actually traveling.  Staying in the comfort of your own home while nursing your desire to see foreign places is okay with you because at least you have knowledge of them.  When you do travel you do not like being restricted but prefer flexibility in deciding what you do and do not want to do.

For me, I feel that I am a mix of all of them but with a stronger tendency to be the authentic traveler.
