TOP 5 ADVENTURE TRIP IDEAS

1. Hike the Triple Crown

Smoky Mountains
This adventure takes extreme commitment as it does not just take a weekend or week but rather years.  The Triple Crown is nearly 7,700 miles, which is enough to stretch nearly a third of the way around the globe.  This adventure takes training and years of planning - maybe that is why fewer than 100 people have completed the entire trail.  It includes the United State's three longest trails: the Pacific Crest, Appalachian, and Continental Divide; and a few pairs of hiking boots! If you are a hiking, outdoor enthusiasts that can afford to take the time to complete the trail you will experience wave battered coast lines, primordial forests, deserts, snowcapped peaks, volcanoes, rainforests, huge open skies that you will have all to yourself.
2. Descend into an active volcano
top 5 adventure trip ideas
This may seem crazy, but people do it on the island of Vanuatu in the South Pacific led by Kiwi adventurer Geoff Mackley.  He will put you in a heatproof suit, take you 640 feet into Vanuatu's Marum Volcano so you are just 300 feet over boiling lava.  Not only will you have to brave the extreme heat but also toxic gases, tumbling rocks, and unexpected explosions!  I suggest this adventure be only for the extreme agile and coordinated...
3. Dive the blue holes
top 5 adventure trip ideas
This may seem relativity simple but what most people do not understand is the Blue Hole diving is dangerous.  What lies below the dreamy clear surface are limestone passageways that have layers of toxic gases in them, and if you can get by the gas then you still have to navigate your way through the pinhole passageways.  One technical error, wrong turn, or just scraping the 10,000 year old limestone could bring it crashing down.  So if you are a diving junkie or in search for another world, Blue holes are you gig but beware!
4. Swim with Great White Sharks

I have a friend who did this off the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and he said that it was one of the most intense things he has ever done.  He said he felt like he was the prey because the sharks knew he was there way before he could see them.  You have to guts, patience, and vigilance to put yourself in close proximity to the apex predators.  If you want to take it a step further, you can swim with them cageless, like the adventurer Jeb Corliss, who does this off Mexico.  But keep in mind, that he is a professional and you should only be accompanied by one!
5. Climb, swim, or surf the Poles
top 5 adventure trip ideas
While the majority of the adventure seekers that head to the Poles are professionals, any person who is physically fit, in good health, and who has the unwavering desire to conquer some of the world's coldest places, can do it.
